Our translators are specialized in numerous areas and know how to do research. They are familiar with the conventions of the genres they translate and are comfortable with the specific language and genre/subgenre.
Editing
Your translator will work with another professional linguist who will copy-edit & proofread the translated manuscript; they will check and discuss changes.
At Language + Literary Translations, each language group follows up-to-date editorial norms to ensure readability.
Customization
We help you customize your cover design, cover texts, book description, and author bio for the foreign markets, select the most enticing titles for your books and series and provide assistance with the formatting and uploading processes to make sure accents, hyphenation and punctuation are perfect.
Teamwork
We form specific teams with 2 or 3 different translators for each author. Lots of brainstorming goes on within the team and questions, comments and solutions are shared.
Your translators will proof each other’s work to ensure a more homogeneous rendition and enhance consistency.
Partnership
Close partnership with authors is what characterizes the translation process within the self-publishing domain.
Once work gets underway, the author and the translator will be in contact for any questions regarding the text itself (often times, titles and metadata also need to be discussed and reviewed).
